Meet Kayla Hernandez, LMHC, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and EMDR Therapist.

she/her/hers

If you’re done feeling stuck and ready to for change, EMDR intensives can help.

Maybe you seem fine on the outside. You’ve gotten really good at pretending.

Most people would probably describe you as high-functioning, driven, maybe even “put together.”

But internally? It’s different.

You feel stuck in patterns you can’t think your way out of.

You overanalyze, push through, stay busy—but the same emotional loops keep showing up.

Anxiety, shutdown, burnout, overthinking, perfectionism… it’s exhausting.

And at some point, you started wondering:

Why isn’t this getting better?

You wish you could just shut off the noise your brain.

That’s where I come in.

My Approach

I specialize in EMDR intensives designed to help you get unstuck faster than traditional therapy.

Instead of spending months (or years) talking around the problem, we focus directly on the root of it.

EMDR works by helping your brain fully process experiences that are still “stuck” so they stop showing up as anxiety, triggers, or emotional overwhelm in your day-to-day life.

An intensive format allows us to go deeper, without constantly stopping and restarting each week.

That means real momentum, real shifts, and meaningful relief in a fraction of the time.

Who I work with

I work best with people who:

  • Millennials or Gen-Z

  • Are high-functioning but internally struggling

  • Feel stuck despite insight, self-awareness, or past therapy

  • Experience anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or shutdown

  • Have a history of trauma or complex trauma (even if it doesn’t “feel that bad”)

  • Are ready for something deeper than weekly talk therapy

  • Are motivated for change

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You just need to be ready for change.
